2008 Subaru STi - Dark Grey Metallic
2008 Subaru STi - Dark Grey Metallic
I purchased the car in March of 2010 with 11k on it from Toyota of Sunnyvale. I think they got the car as a trade in for a SUV. That's what the salesman told me anyway. The car now has just under 72k on it and I'm still driving it daily. Most of the miles are highway miles from my commuting. Service has been performed by LIC Motorsports in Novato, with an oil change or two performed at TD Garage in Walnut Creek (now Berkeley).
The car comes with the following stock parts:
Downpipe
Exhaust
Airbox
Springs
Swaybars
Shiftknob
Undertray
Rubber Floor Mats (always been in the car, carpet is like new)
I'll also throw in the factory roof rails/rack, the Yakima "Fatcat" snowboard/ski rack and my huge stack of tires.
List of aftermarket mods:
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Cobb AP (Stage 2 + AEM) - $500
Perrin top mount IC - $500
Kartboy pitch stop - $100
AEM intake - $200
Invida catted DP - $300
ERZ exhaust - $250
Suspension Modifications:
Race Comp Engineering "regular guy springs" - $200
Whiteline front and rear swaybars + rear braces - $200
Whiteline endlinks and steering rack bushings - $150
Stoptech ST40 355mm BBK & pads (front) - $2500
Stoptech slotted rotors and pads (rear), Goodridge SS brake lines - $300
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
18 x 8 +48 Rota Torque (snow) 245/40/18 ContiWinterContact TS810 S - $800
18 x 9.5 +38 Rota Grid (street & track) 275/35/18 Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec - $1000
Will also include "stack" of tires including slicks
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Kartboy shift **** - $lol
Beatbrush underpanel - $250
painted tails
Flaws with the car include:
Some cosmetic damage - paint chips, minor scratches, bumper dings and door dings. The car has been parked on the street for most of it's life, there's nothing major in my mind, but the car is certainly not perfect and will never be a show car without some fresh paint.
Interior wear - inside paint chipping on door handles, the driver side is the worst. Common on some GR's.
Mechanically the car is good. It's been stage two almost the entire time I've owned it, with no problems. It's been to Thunderhill twice and Buttonwillow once. The last time it was at the track was well over a year ago.
Bank of America holds the title. I'm not sure if we can do the transfer at a BofA location. I'd have to look into it, but I don't think it's a big deal.
I'm asking 24k OBO.
I'm not in a rush to sell. I do want to sell the car, as I need something more comfortable for the amount of driving I do. I know I could make more money by parting out the car and I may do that if I don't have enough interest at my asking price. I'm just too lazy to do it, and I thought I'd offer the car together as a good deal for an i-clubber. I'm happy to answer questions for a serious buyer. Check out my profile for some photos. I'll work on shooting some more for anyone interested.
Thanks for looking.

This was taken a couple of years ago at Buttonwillow. The mudflaps are now gone.

I'd love too, I pay off my 06 sti this month and finishing the fab work on it this month as well. Been down way too long. Been starting to look for a nice 08+ model

Thanks for the offer, I'm not currently looking for trades. I'm not really sure what I'm going to get. I go back and fourth between SUV's, Trucks and something sportier. I've been thinking about maybe a 08+ M3 or a 10+ S4?
Get a ford raptor!! Thats the best of all worlds... sporty, fast, and a truck!

The Ford Raptor is definitely bad ***.

Unfortunately, whatever I get will have to be parked on the street in SF. The Raptor is just too damn big to park. The Raptor could just park on top of other cars, but I don't think my neighbors would like that too much.
