I won't say yes or no, but I will give you some heads up.

1. Your ears will stink like hell. Chicken hit the nail on the head with that. you make a ritual of washing them every morning in the shower and if you don't it smells like dead ferrel cats following you around all day.

You WILL be left with scars. I had 0's for about 6 months. I took my time gauging up to it and then kept them for the 6 months. One morning I woke up and just did not like them anymore. I'm not saying this will happen to you, but it's a possibility. Oh and you have to wash the holes that remain because they still stink.

Here are my ears now, after 2+ years of having them out. Well, ear, you just see one.

Yeah, I need to shave. Preparing for Novembeard.

Edit: To clarify, I started stretching my ears when I was 19, and I'm 32 now.
I don't disagree that there are companies, even big ones, that don't care. I agree that there are people who are capable of looking at your work ethics and you as a person. I also know from experience that the smallest thing can cost you the job, and I also 100% agree that if appearance cost the interview, then you don't want to work there anyway. The reality is, it does still happen. It has happened to both of my kids.

i honestly have no idea why they stink, but if you wash themin the shower everyday they dont stink further than your ear haha

i clean mine every morning in the shower and theyll smell a LITTLE by nighttime, (kinda just like sweaty feet smell) but not enough to gross anyone out...if you leave them in for a few days they get nasty...

It's more of an HR person by HR person basis what they judge. I know of one chick that checks discretely if male applicants are wearing socks

Those of you saying you've never had a job issue, have you gotten 100% of the jobs you've applied for?

If you're gonna get something pierced, pierce something that will heal cleanly. (ie. Nose, Labret, Tongue, etc.)

And normally, I'd agree with the people talking discrimination, but I know way too many people inked/pierced with rather high profile jobs. It's not the 70's anymore, the world has moved on to bigger and better forms of discrimination.
