so..whats the best shortshifter out there? or should i just get the factory shortshifter?

Yes we'll have the STi shifter late this week early next week
we did the final test on the SCC STi saturday and everything went great.

A post on nasioc a while back and another member here I wont incriminate, though I would LOVE to have an option other than the big expensive assembly change out

true...i have heard the same about the 5mt kartboys....but personally don't own one, so don't qoute me...

This thread is the first I've heard of a problem. I installed a Kartboy short shifter on my 5MT about a year ago and have had no issues. I think this story about premature wear is more of an urban legend than fact-based.

i'd have to agree. i think we've manufactured and sold over a few thousand shifters and never heard of this problem. any short shifter will not be a magical part for your car. its exactly what it is a shortened throw shifter. you will still have to wait for the syncro's to match in order to shift properly.
