Hey just giving a heads up to any of the early EARLY morning drivers. Caltrans is doing a ton of construction between 1am and 6am, both on 101, 80, and 880. They're not very good about cleaning their crap up. I was in the #3 lane going southbound on 880 last night and hit a cone that had been hit previously and drug out into the middle of the freeway. Unfortunately, even at 60mph, it split my front bumper down the middle.

This isn't the first time either! With all of the construction and with it being so early in the morning, there's cone and debris all over the roads and no one is really the wiser. I've seen a couple of wrecks caused by people trying to avoid trucks stopped on the freeway without cones around them, and by people swerving to avoid cones that are placed.

Just keep an eye out and try to avoid the 101N anytime after 12:30pm to cross the Bay Bridge.

 

They are also doing work on 980 by berkeley/oakland area. Traffic is reallllllyyyyy slow.
