.....because that IDIOT managed to hit-n-run my Impala SS (aka, my "baby" and show car) around 10PM on Sunday night in Cupertino

Basically, I was headed north on Wolfe at Pruneridge. I got a green, so I go. Our rocket scientist decides that despite that RED light facing him, it's a good time to make a left turn anyways from the southbound Wolfe lane . Hits my front left on my Impala at about 5 MPH. By the time I could safely do a U-turn, he has run off

Total damage : I'm unhurt, but the SS took a hit. Front left fender, wheelwell trim and driver's door are all bent. Rough guess of $2-3K in damage.

So if you see a white 90's Toyota Corolla being driven by an Indian man or woman (guy was driving it, but his wife/SO was in the car at the time) with some black paint on the slightly damaged front bumper, PLEASE get the license number for me!

Not to be stereotypical, but an indian person in a white corolla in cupertino, especially around wolfe and the general Fry's area is a dime a dozen

Got a better look in daylight. The fender and wheelwell trim are toast, but looks like the door is 99% just paint scuff. Since a tiny bit of bondo here would be preferable to having to redo the entire door (no "ding" in the door now over 1/8" deep) due to the custom mods in the door, I will probably be doing the filler/repaint on that one.

Had a friend do some looking, and it appears it was a white 98-02 Corolla or Chevy Prism (same car). Seraph :

my wifes car had a slight collision with a french guy (no insurance , but said he did have, liar) that did not even pay for the bumper trim that he scraped. AAA is on him but I wound up paying for the trim and just hope these a$$wipes learn that if you hit someone you stop and settle.

About that white Corolla.....there is a white corolla for sale in SF on Gough street at Eddy. It is a very rare car...it is all wheel drive and turbo'd, has a little sticker on the front fender that says something about IMSO racing champion. I believe it's two door and has stock wheels. Does this sound like the car that hit you?

BTW anyone heard about this turbo and AWD corolla? how many of them were made?

 

Do you know how much that corolla is selling for, I believe it is either custom or import. Ive never seen one but would love to own one.

i'll check if the car is there today, it was parked on gough at eddy over the weekend. i think they wanted a couple grand for it, looks in decent condition. i was taking a walk and stopped to check out the FORSALE sign and noticed TURBO and AWD were listed, pretty odd for a toyota corolla! it is a celica all-trac from 1990-1993, thanks google
