Or the original Black and Orange, the Flyers!

I'll cheer for the sharks cause I like a good hockey team and the Flyers got elimated. Go Sharks!

6 sounds reasonable. Its going to be tough but the sharks are 11-5 in the last 16 games against the Canucks. I like those odds

Not if you consider this season alone.

SJ played them 4 times this year and only took one game.

0-3-1 (shoot out)

Buuuuut, when Niemi is on his game and the offense is firing, the Sharks are arguably the best team in hockey. When either of those two variables are absent, well.... lets not consider that option.

I think the series comes down to Niemi... If Niemi is letting in soft goals then its over...

Watching Vancouver over the playoffs they seem a lot weaker than the Sharks, they have a great offense (usually) and a weak defense with a decent goalie. The Sedin's arent playing well and I hope the Sharks capitalize on this. The regular season is a whole other game then the play offs, just look at the success rate of all the teams who've won the Presidents cup.

We should beat them assuming the Sharks dont buckle under the pressure, we're a more well rounded team when playing on our game.

Random off topic...

Derek Boogaard from the Minnesota Wild suddenly died and his brain was donated.

I am nervous about this series. The last 4 games have shown that the Sharks are not running on all their cylendars yet. If it weren't for Neimi bringing his game together at the right time, I think the Sharks would be playing golf right now.

Marleau is the biggest crutch right now for the Sharks. We depend on him to get more goals in the net and set up more scoring chances. Also, he is a great 2 way player, but I am not seeing that right now either, taken into account that he is +1 for the playoffs so far. Pavelski is playing well, but I have been expecting more out of him. Same goes for Heatley. I know for sure heater can play better than he is.

With that, I got to give props to Clowe, Neimi, Thornton, Boyle, Seto, Couture, and Wellwood for bringing it when it matters the most.

Versus commentator- "Theres been a lot of talk about Thornton cheating, so we'll have to keep an eye on that".

WTF?

...am I missing something other than VS needing to have their fat lips be on the Canucks tip?

In my opinion that was really poor officiating and I think Vancouver got some lucky power plays, which ultimately led to them winning in the third period. Sharks need to stay out of the box and Vancouver needs to stop embellishing penalties.

They mean in the faceoff circle mainly because of his size and etc.

Agreed on the first part, but the penalty on heater for elbowing is BS because Torres ran into his arm. It was simply the fact that the sharks were outskated and were stagnant in the third which let the Canucks walk into the slot and score.

We just have to stop giving up leads late in the game and continue to press even if we're up

We need to even the series when it comes back to sj

This is only the second loss after giving up the third period lead. So it's not like it has happened a lot.

I am glad the next game isn't until Wednesday it gives them time to rest up
