Not the kind of outcome we hoped for but LAs defense and goaltending deserved that win. Throughout the whole year its been back and forth with the kings, we will win in LA.

Crap game... I'm not trying to state that the Sharks suck, but wow their defense and the turnovers have to stop if they want a shot at winning the cup. I'll even take Nabakov instead of Niemi... Niemi can stop mistakes every once n' a while, but he can get lit up. Nabakov was better at stopping the mistakes... Sharks basically just have crap defense and rely on the goal tending too much.
Quick, spectacular game, about 5-10 shots near point blank range I was just like "wow" how those didn't go in.
Sharks have to tighten up the defense and stop the turnovers and just have to get lucky with some bounces and they'll be fine. I doubt Quick will be that sharp for the last 2.

I have been saying this all freaking year. I always blamed the defense more than anyone. Niemi shouldn't have been back after getting pulled the first time. He loses the puck to easy and gets beat to easy off the turnovers that always happen. We have to score 4 goals a game basically if we want to win with Niemi in net.

Nitty won't win it for the Sharks. He's good, but he's too tiny for the goal. He doesn't take enough space and I doubt he can recover for the Sharks when they turn it over like Niemi. That's if Niemi is having a good day or not.
Plus Niemi has a great record the game after being pulled.

Sharks currently leading 2-1. Niemi is looking good, and I think the reason McLellan put him in goal tonight is because he wants Niemi to know that he feels he is good enough to start the game, and if he feels Niemi can come back from realizing his mistakes and play a better game, then it will benefit his confidence in the future, instead of starting Nittymaki, who also is playing well.

^ He has a good record coming back from getting pulled.
As for the goals, Pavelski's line for both. The BIG Pavelski clutching it again. Played good all series. One more period left, lets hope the Sharks put on the pressure.
