seriously stupid newb question!!!

ok ok ive been around subies for about a year or two now. and i guess ive been to busy to listen to my car when its turned off so here is the question:

after the car is shut off there seems to be a bunch of little popping sounds....now i know alot of other cars make this lil popping sound too after its been shut off. And im still a scooby newby around turbo engines. so is this normal???i dont ever remember hearing the little popping sounds after the car has been turned off... but its not like i was trying to hear it either

btw my mods are
hallman mbc
pde downpipe
perrin up pipe
stock cat back
ic hoses
defi boost gauge
sti engine mounts
sti tranny mounts
whiteline alk

could it be excess gas burning up? i use 91 octane, i change my oil every 3000, im very worried about my baby please help and please excuse the newby ness of this question. thanx alot

chris

yeah, that's totally normal. It's actually the piping and other metals shrinking back to normal size (heat makes them expand).

Yea, what he said /\

every car will make those noises while it is cooling down. No worries
