Serious summer job suggestions....??

I need to start thinking about a summer job. I refuse to work retail again, after 3 years at Banana Republic...unless I absolutely HAVE to. So I just thought I would ask and see what everyone else comes up with. Something Subie involved would be awsome but not absolutely necessary.

Sometimes they have jobs for helping set up events, you can meet the drivers and get to do all kinds of cool things behind the scenes. What better way to spend the summer?
maybe **** star? that would be better

Hahaha, yeah Max, u know how it is.....

As far as living close to a track...thats easy, if I head home to Salinas over the summer, Im about 15 min from Laguna Seca. Not a bad idea....I would definately like that, thanks for the suggestion.

Novato is 20 minutes from Infineon Raceway so you really have no excuses.

are you in high school or college?

i made good money over 1 summer during college doing this thing called Student Works Painting. But it is pretty hard to get that job since the competition for that position is like 1/200 (at least that is what they said at the interview process).

Bascially you become the manager of a painting company and you have to do a lot of marketing to attract customers (cold calling sucks~!!!). you can make up to 10,000 over the summer before tax, but that is only if you are good and works super hard. do a search on google and theys should show up.

lol, I kinda wish I was still in high school...

As far as UPS is concerned, I dont think so, I was making more at BR and the work was much easier, plus the hours at UPS kinda suck, or so my friend who used to work there told me. I will keep UPS in mind tho, thanks, I probably wouldn't have even remembered.

Thanks for the ideas...so far Im likin the idea of working at a track best...I could always ask my dad to hook it up as he works for Pacific Wine Partners but I dunno if I wanna work in the barrel room, who knows...we'll see.

Keep em commin guys, thanks for all the suggestions so far.
