Selling my car and getting a mini... ??
Thinking of getting a Mini cooper-s... Im tired of my car giving me a rough *** ride, ricer boys trying to friggin race me all the time... I'd really love to get an STi... but I really can't afford 34k to buy one (out the door). I'm looking at Minis... and you can get one for about 21k out the door (6speed, front LSD). Anyone have info about them? I mean... like first hand knowledge... reliable, etc, etc?
Also, are they decently quick? I'd keep it stock, as Im done with modifying cars.
( I sound like an old man )

The MINI-S is VERY quick, and drives like a go kart. Its a blast. I'd say its about as quick as a focus SVT (if you 've ever driven one of those) but with better handling. Lots of nice options. But, you WILL pay MSRP for it, and wait a while for one with the LSD.
I actually put down a deposit on one before my WRX, but couldn't wait 1.5 months for the car (yes, thats a minimum wait!). There are a couple minor issues with rattles in the doors, but nothing like the WRX. Its very quick, very nimble. Its a great car, easily comparable in fun level to the WRX. The supercharger is fun because it isn't as peaky as the turbo....
Great AutoX car.

Indeed, I would order one if I were to get one.
And yes, I would sit in the backseat.
(They are actually roomier then our cars inside)

Dude...mini's have a surprising amount of room.
My coworker almost got one. She's like 6'3" and her husband is like 6'5" or so. they both fit.
now bruces hair on the other hand....that might be an issue...better make sure it's got a sun roof.
the S is actually a dope little car. Very reliable. If I'm not mistaken they run the 100k set up that BMW runs. tune up and what not. Quick Good handling. You could get one just crazy fun to drive with very few mods. There is a growing aftermarket for them as well.
But it is FWD. It is small. And it isn't a subaru.

They can be suprisingly fast on a road course with a good driver. Great little cars if you want a nimble driving car.

Oh no!!! Dont insult my manhood, z00b!
From what I've heard at the track, the motors in those cars are the same basic motors as dodge puts in the neons. Only they are built in Brazil. Nothing wrong with that, just noting it. BTW, get a John Cooper Works version and bump the output to 200 hp.
