Seized Coilover Lock Ring
Hmm i bet if you clean the threads before trying to move the 2 rings.
Soak it in freeze off pb w/e you have.
Then try to move the one that's not a lock ring up.
Then try the lock ring again down.
Better yet push them both opposite directions
with big pipes in both.

Only one ring... Independent height and preload adjustment.
Ring 2c is the problematic one...

From the post where I figured it out...
One ring to rule them all...

Got it done!

I think this is the image I had here... Not sure...
Tools that got it done...

PB Blaster
Aluminum Tube
2.5lb Mini Sledge Hammer
Opted for the aluminum tube because we figured that a flat head screw driver would cut into the collar and create more issues. We looked for something more blunt to spread out the force and we found a random little aluminum tube.
The tube lost the battle but won the war.

Before

After

Dropped it about another 1.5". Still a tiny bit of room before the strut hits the CV boot. and the rears are maxed out.

Just high enough to still open the doors.

I had this same problem for a bit jourdan, but if you take it off your car you can get it loose pretty easy. Put the wrenches on and slowly add pressure by foot and it should come undone.

Not really wanting to take them off the car. That just opens up a whole other can of worms.
I'll be trying again on Saturday. See if I can get this ***** slammed for the Canibeat meet.
