seeking college advice

hey i-club, i am currently in the process of applying to college. I have heard tons from all the schools on campus life, academics, etc. but i was wondering if any one here had an opinion that they would like to share. Another thing i was thinking about is how to work on my car; should i try to bring like a fat rolling tool box with me to the dorms? i might just leave my car at home for a year, or until im living off campus and have garage space. also, if anyone has attended any of these schools, or currently is enrolled, i would love to hear about what kind of car scene exists over there.

here's my tentative list
UC Berkeley
UC LA
UC SD
UC SB
Claremont Mckenna
Vanderbilt
Boulder
USC
UPenn

When i would visit UCSD, cars would line up on Library Walk every month or so...all types of cool cars.

Though your cool car is a target to be stolen and driven into Mexico! I always see a few Suby's on campus.
