Forester Turbo or WRX wagon, that is the question. On the subject of fast wagons:

*Saab, meet Subaru*

GM also is considering closer cooperation between Saab and Subaru, a GM
affiliate.

Subaru dealers in the United States were up in arms last month at the
annual convention of the National Automobile Dealers Association over
discussions between Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (Subaru) and GM about
whether to give Saab a version of Subaru's Impreza WRX wagon. A Subaru
spokesman in the United States said a feasibility study is under way.

Said Wagoner: "I don't think we made any announcement on it yet, but
clearly (a Saab-Subaru relationship) appeals to us as an opportunity
that perhaps helps both partners. The product characteristics, while in
some ways different, in some ways there are a lot of similarities to the
philosophy of product. This is an area we want to explore."

I just saw a silver one on 880-237. I even taunted him. The dude would not run with me.

The car looked pretty good, but the wheels/tires are pizza cutters with hardly any room for a size (Width) increase, and the back of the car was fugly. I liked the lines from the side, but definately not from the rear.

Another thing that I noticed was a MAJOR NEGATIVE CAMBER on the rear wheels. I did not like that at all. I looked like lowered Honda's without camber kits look. This car was bone factory stock. That setting is going to chew up some of those 205's!

My last observation was this: The car looked way to much like a childs toy. I don't know. It looks fake? Boy racer? YES!

I kind of liked the double pipe rear exhaust - looked good to me.

The wheels on the car I saw were not quite bicycle tires, but they were thin, they were also extremely verticle - even during turns, seems to me that would add to losing traction, but maybe I don't know what I'm talking about (that would be nothing new).

The one I saw also had noticable lag vs stock WRX (driver had to do lots of revving to keep the car in the power band) so I am assuming this has a pretty big turbo on it.

I also liked the front hood scoop, looked pretty cool.

Excessive rear negative camber results in UNDERSTEER, geez, that combined with being a Front Engine, Front drive???

Dude, the Southern Hillbillies in the WRX obviously did not know how to drive.

He was not red-lining the car driving it like it should be driven. All of this heresay is stemmed from that one video.

I don't buy it...show me 2 or three videos from different parts of the country. Too many dumb country bumkins from the south...no credibility...do you remember deliverance?

Take your Alabama tail back to the sticks. This is not the Alabama i-club, or the Alabama SRT-4 POS club either...

Go home...this is our club.

Hey man, for get these guys. Let them talk all the smack they want. We'll see how fast a SRT-4 is once it's maxed out in Mods with that Stage 3 from Mopar (but really, I don't think you can get much more from it, and still keep it drivable)

Hey cool off, this isn't a Honda club, no reason to be nasty. The

SRT-4 2970 lbs/215 hp = 13.81 lbs/hp
WRX sedan 3085 lbs/227 hp = 13.59 lbs/hp

Very close, but that doesn't tell the whole picture since the WRX is an all wheel drive vehicle the drivetrain loss is around 25%, the SRT-4 is 15-18% (not enough of them on the road to know for sure yet)...so...

SRT-4 @ 15% loss = 2970 lbs / 182.75 whp =16.25 lbs/whp
WRX @ 25% loss = 3085 lbs / 170.25 whp = 18.12 lbs/whp

giving the power edge to the SRT-4

I would still rather have my wrx

My wagon 3165lbs / 230 whp = 13.76 lbs/whp

Don't forget that the 400cc of displacement! 2.4L Inline 4 with a turbo makes Torque... Lots of it.
