I love drivin down mission... I don't slow down for those metal plates... i like to see my passengers squirm.
Needless to say, I'm at rally height.

ps... if you guys don't like drivin in sf... please get out of my city!!! :-)
I love sf.... it's so easy to get around when you know the city well. It's also an extremely safe place to drive if you know where you are going.... san jose on the other hand, is full morons making blind lane changes, etc.

DUDE....I agree on one thing....the san jose bit.

I don't mind driving in S.F., you just have to change your mindset. You have to be more agressive. I like spinning around the city and you really don't have to worry about tickets too much. But as for it being safe....you're crazy man. Between the terrible bus drivers, the insane taxi drivers, dumbass pedestrians, motorcycles, bumpy roads, rich idiots on cell phones and bicyclists....it's not a safe place to drive.

Every study ever conducted in SF will tell you that.

but it is pretty easy to get around if you know where to go. But quite annoying if you get a turn wrong.

My biggest peave is when idiots ride my butt. I'm on bush looking at the dang sky and a car decides to pull like 3 inches off my bumper...it's like....dude... I'm driving a stick..it's really not that hard to tell. Back the F off.

But I do have fun blasting around SF later at night or in mid morning when there isn't that much traffic.

+1 I love driving in the city. Feels like football, but in your car. I like how my Celica is loud as **** with the buildings close together. I dunno, it is what it is - I don't think there is anything out of the ordinary in SF city driving. You see people do stupid crap all the time - put more people together and there's going to be more stupid crap. I agree - if you don't like driving there, don't!! It's pretty easy to get around without a car anyway. But I totally enjoy and miss the city. There are good and bad things about everything.

alright... you're right... maybe it isn't that safe.
The safest way to drive in SF is to be extra-offensive. If you notice, cab drivers rarely get into car accidents. Everyone else just drives in so much fear... that its' easy to speed around everyone.

EXACTLY. now that I agree with 100%. I couldn't count how many people have been scared to death while driving with me in SF.

After 7 years you kinda learn....smash and go is better than slow and get smashed.

Taxi drivers are nuts..haaa. I almost got plastered by one my first day in the city. I was walking across the street and he comes blasting down the street doing like 60. I seriously stopped and did that stand up strait pull the feet back thing and felt him hit my sweatshirt.

I drive very agressively.

This post was really just to show what happend while I was walking...not to say I hate the city or anything like that..actually the longer I'm here the more I like it....though I'm and outdoors kind of guy..>I can not wait to move back to Santa Cruz...(if it ever happens)

Now that place is annoying to drive in. Everyone stoned driven 40mph on the freeway can't read the signs that say slow drivers stay right.

Thumbs down

All in all, the roads are as bad as the drivers nowadays. It seems like that at a lot of places. My gosh, you would think the Silver Creek area in San Jose would have smooth roads. But it gives a new meaning to driving on hilly roads...lol So it really doesn't matter where you are. People nowadays drive more aggressively because they have more power and will do so even though the roads suck. Damn road construction engineers.
