Sorry we bailed on you Allen, (is that how your name is spelled?). Scott was having some car troubles and both of us were eliminated. We headed out for Kragen to get a fix for Scotts car.

My best time was a 15.1, which dissapoints me, but I guess isn't too bad for being my first time out there. I don't race my car on the streets so I really didn't have an experience to from which to draw.

I can't go to the raceway next week, but I was thinking we could all go out again on 11/12. I really want to run a 14 second ET, even if it's like 14.999999^

Unhappy Stunk it up....

I seemed to improve as each pass came along... but my shifting needs major improvement. I am not shifting correctly @ the right RPMs, while going down the track. Plus, I bounced my needle to close to redline on a few occassions. Either way, I need some advise fellas...

Also, here are my 1/4 times in my STI...
Please don't laugh

First run: 14.5 vs TYPE R
Second run: 14.0 vs GSR
Third run: 13.9 vs TYPE R

Last run: 14.1 vs Must MACH 1 (13.5)***

*I had a perfect launch & had the lead pretty much all the way versus the MACH 1 but bounced on 4th gear before I shifted to 5th gear. I know for a fact that I shoulda beat that MACH 1 but lost it due to my errors. He then blew by me @ the very end.

Not a problem. I'm still glad I went even if I was the only one out there. It was a good night for me.

I hope he sorted it out alright, whatever the problem was.

I'm up for it. It's a good date for me, if it works out for the other fellas. November is the last month of Wednesday Night Drags at Sac Raceway.

You're improving, so that's a good sign. I wonder how the other STi owners did last night? I grab 2nd gear at 7000 rpm, and shift the other gears at 6500 rpm, at least for now. Since the power curve of a WRX is different, we should ask those other guys how they drive their STis. What was your MPH through the traps?

I plan on going out again in a few weeks, need to fix some stuff first ( like a stupid radiator cap )

11/12 sounds like a plan

also, I checked my reaction in my last race, it was not a .538, it was a .528 :P

yeah, sorry guys, I had to take off after my one run, got one of those important phonecalls that take precedence over everything else... 's alright though I guess, scoring another 13.6 is probably a sign that I won't be getting anything better till I get some more desirable rubber for those rears...

...and as it turns out, I won't be able to go out next week anyways, money is lookin' to be pretty tight...might not make it out to Natomas this Saturday either.

If we go to the drags on the 12th, we'll post a new thread.

Let's keep an eye on the weather, fellas. Might be getting rain on the 12th, but 05-Nov (this coming Wednesday) looks okay right now...
