I don't think i-crud is the appropriate place to air this out and certainly not the right place to solicit sound life advice.

Yeah, I actually know more about them then most of the people who build them. They're simple devices for the most part, even the infrared ones.

I don't think a counselor would work. A group session (cheaper, maybe even free) might be a good option. Why? People around you are going through the same ordeal, and their help and advice along with letting it out could be a lot better than some counselor listening and only giving one opinion... and being that he is a counselor, probably doesn't have the financial woes as he is still employed and you are not.

I'm just depressed, life is sucky for me right now. Worst it's been in a while. Hard to think of "positives" in it...so many negatives these days it's blinding. I should probably buy a Harley and find a 19 yo with nothing to do, what my neighbor did...how the heck do you find a 19 yo?

I posted out of frustration, not expecting so much subie love - thanks all

Sometimes it helps to vent, even just the act of writing/typing it all down so you can look at it objectively like a "to do" list. Life has been sucky these days all around. I have been looking for work too though I do not have the commitments you do. My wife and I have been looking for purpose here in the Bay Area, in the US, and not finding it. Finally found something I want to do for a business and can do it just, out of money now. It's always the way - I either have the time or the money and it's getting boring but I guess that's life.

ever-so-slightly offtopic: As far as the wedding thing - we looked around the Bay and a few other places and actually ended up saving money by getting married in Scotland and it was absolutely awesome. It worked well for us because my wife is Swedish and most of her family is in the UK and Sweden and no one in my family was coming. We did a simple courthouse marriage in SF which was actually a lot nicer than we thought it would be, and then had the "ceremony" in Scotland. So for the pedantic, our true wedding date is just before we left, but for us, our ceremony was on 07.07.07. Worked out great and was such a more welcoming feeling than the usual crap I am used to with places rented specifically for weddings and such. Plus, this was an old Scottish hunting lodge and you could go hiking or even sign up to go hunt pheasant or go fishing in the morning and then they would cook it for you for dinner for example. Scotland and the UK is pretty awesome...
