Damn you guys! Ever since this thread started, I've been trolling all the Ruckus mod sites looking at what people have been up to out here. I saw heavily modded ones all over Tokyo but hadn't realized they had such a big following out here. Fatty rear wheels, stretched frames, stretched engines, lowered seats... I'd have a blast murdering and toying with one of these, damn yooos!

Yep, logo's wrong. Like a mistake that a first semester Japanese student would make the 3rd week into class

"Unit" should be ユニット, whereas the logo is written as ユニツト which would be read as "Yunitsuto". The key is size of the character ツ (tsu). When it's the same size as all the other characters, it's pronounced aloud a la チキンカツ (Chicken Katsu). But when it is a small ッ, it denotes a stoppage to the previous sound. For example, ユニット "unit" needs the small ッ in order for the word to sound like the crisp way we native English speakers say "unit". Otherwise, it would sound all drawn out and fruity like the way a French guy would say "you-neeeeet".

Hmm, looking at the dmv website, effective January 1, 2006, you may operate a motorized scooter with a Class M1 or M2 driver license.

Those things look pretty cool but man I would NEVER drive one of these on the streets in SF. Its not like driving in the suburbs, just driving a car in SF is hairy enough, being on a bike, any bike is downright scary, but if you are going to ride you need one thats higher so all the other idiots can see you and with enough power to get out of trouble. I drove around a CB400 around here for a bit last year and after having to power out of a couple of close calls I def wouldnt want anything smaller, on that ruckus you really wouldnt be able to do anything if someone swerved into your lane.
And on a more practical level, how the hell would you drive that thing up any of these hills? Seriously, about 50% of this town would be off limits to you on that thing.
I think this would be cool if you lived in the suburbs where there were no hills and you worked or went to school a couple miles from home, but for the $2k+ price of the Ruckus you can get alot more practical bike thats a couple years old.

lol, 10K ruckus, sign me up! I love people who think they going to get 100% of their mod money back when they sell it. But he already shows 5K in mods, and the bike only costs a couple grand, so does he think the bike appreciated since hes owned it??

thanks for the laugh
