Dude... Jeff made the trip home in 2:34!
I may pretty good time too though. I stopped to get gas and some munchies with Jordan when we left your place. Then stopped at the top of the alt to take a ****. Made it home and was in bed at 11:15.
Somehow I stopped to take a leak and when I hit San Jose, Jordan was just hitting Fremont. LOL.

Said he was hurting pretty good. Rung his bell pretty good I guess. Hopefully those ribs will be alright.
Wish I could have seen that spill just so I could have an idea of the damages. Sounds like it was a damn good one.

Dude did a backflip in the park yesterday. He went 360 of the first hit and back flip of the second. I've seen that dude in there before. Pretty damn good. Same dude that did the front flip that we saw that one day.

Put in a few hours at dodge today. Crowds sucked and it was generally tracked up but I had some of my secret stashes that were untouched still. Also did a few 15ft cliffs ferrr funn.
All I have to say about this weekend, DEEP!!!!! I haven't ever ridden in snow that deep in the 10 or so years I've been riding. Hit up Bear as usual. Was getting knee to thigh deep snow all day Friday. OneManArmy (Ray) was hitting the trees and getting some chest to armpit deep turns. Had probably the scariest moment in my life so far. Went down in a flatter section of the mountain about 50 ft from the run. Right in the area where the snow cat was helping pile snow. Thankfully I went down on my back, but I was definitely buried head down, board in the air. Mouth full of snow instantly. Got it out and got a second mouth full immediately afterward. Thanks to Ray for running back up the hill in fresh snow to come help me out. I had to be dragged out, got the board off, swam through what I could and then with the help of Ray got pulled out. Suffice to say I was taking it easier the rest of the weekend.
I got some video I'm gonna work on getting up and posted. The snow was so light I was getting a couple face shots up into the camera as I exploded through the very few tracks there were.
Sat, rode with Ray, his brother Jordan and boardaholic. It was still really empty for a Saturday. Guess the weather kept people away. Had to trailblaze a couple spots due to the slowness of the snow. But still a great day.
Sun, the same 4 with the addition of stg2lgcy00, his buddy Kevin and ipozestu. Busy as hell at Bear. The front was nice, not as much people in the lift lines. The backside was overcrowded. Went to our stashes to avoid the crowds, still untouched there. Gave the camera to Ray to record some action.
Overall, one of the best weekends ever. Beer, snow, friends, what else can you ask for. Also a word of advice, never pay a mountain tweeker to shovel your driveway. Dude was lucky he didn't get his teeth knocked in. 3 feet of snow in Arnold and more trees down than I've ever seen.

I was stoked that Saturday was VERY uncrowded even w/ the lower mtn still closed & a later-opening for the village runs. There was more than enough pow to be had everywhere else. The snow was so deep (as already mentioned) that we ran outta momentum on a not-so-steep section of a run. Ya need the steep to shred the deep! Super fun day that superprisingly started off bluebird, then ended w/ some flurries. Forecast was the exact opposite.

Sunday was way more crowded despite the fact that the entire mtn was now open.
Started the day off by losing track of stg2lgcy00's buddy Kevin (Kinda like in the movie Home Alone
), then a bad spill by El Jefe.
In hopes to find our "lost li'l boy," we split up & find out exactly how crowded it is. bluwrxwgn & stg2lgcy00 said the backside quad was super-packed... that it looked like wknd lines @Sierra. OneManArmy, his bro & I find the same in the lower mtn. Lotsa great pow but really long waits for those chairs, but the backside got much less traffic after lunch. Speaking of lunch, I had an "interesting" adventure during our run to our Subies for brew n' grub. Can't wait til that embarrassing detour is posted for all to see.
Another awesome bluebird day w/ a late roll-in of clouds. It's already been said, but here it is again: Beer, snow, friends... what else can you ask for?

Thanks for not mentioning that I got bucked on the 1st whoop.
I had forgotten how much you can boot off that thing...even w/ very minimal speed. Lotsa fun but I wish the landing wasn't so flat though. I really wanted to do the hit that runs right under the Grizzly chair. That looked like a blast, too!

I got through all the footage, I'm gonna work on getting it cut and spliced and put together.

Take your time on the footy. Btw, how'd the stuff Ray took come out?
I'll see if I can find a random vid of a spill similar to what El Jefe experienced. Honestly, it seemed like a snow gremlim snatched up at his downhill edge. We were all just cruising thru the spot btwn Cub & Super Cub w/ the speed needed to get to Kuma & Bear. Crazy, weird & shocking when I saw it.

The other lesson I learned was to start bearing right as you approach lower Lunch Run. I was temporarily mesmerized by the pow pow freshies to realize I was a few seconds too late in being able to get back over the last knoll & onto the groomer. I'm just glad I was able to provide y'all some pre-brew&grub entertainment.

Bwahaha! Getting a li'l bucked on the run-in was much less embarrassing than looking up at all you guys watching me struggle up from the gully to get back on lower Lunch Run.

You made good time getting out of there with minimal complaining though. I would have been *****ing the whole time and it would have taken me like an hour.
Ray's footage came out good. Since he hit the unlock/lock button though it is a little shaky. But watching my videos of riding and then watching videos from his perspective, it's like night and day. If I turn off the sound, people would be able to tell. I don't know how he moves that body into and out of some of those areas.

Or pay when the job is done. We really should have asked for the cash that Ray & I kicked down back so that it could be split amongst all those who actually did the work. Oh wait... that was us, wasn't it?

Yea, if we had known the other dude was gonna flake, me and Ray would have banged out the driveway for at least one car before we went up on Friday. It would have been easy since the snow was so light.
Yea, one of the reasons I still let Ray lead even though I've been riding Bear with him for the last 5 or so years.
