Icy, eh? Do you recall what trails or what lifts this was off of? My guess is 'twas prolly icy at other resorts at the time as well. When did you go... early season, middle, or late?

Considering that tomorrow is their last day w/ $30 lift tix (YES! Only $30!!!), you might wanna give 'em another shot. Plus, the round trip fr SF is a breeze!

One caveat: I peeped their snow report earlier & they had a few lifts ON HOLD due to high winds. I also just took a quick peek @Heavenly... same deal w/ winds. Check all the weather forecasts in regards to wind before heading up no matter which spot you choose. But when winds are a factor, the best bet on your short list is Sierra. For the most part, it's very well wind protected.

Have fun. Tomorrow is supposed to be a "bluebird" repeat of Wed, just w/ the extra helping of pow fr yesterday & today. I'm gonna what til Tues to shred again, right after the next system dumps down Sun & Mon.

Yeah I saw the wind issues they were having, stopped alot of snow from getting to the ground. I went to Sugarbowl around Valentines Day.

Will keep an eye on the weather/road conditions, I can make my choice before I leave in the morning. Just gotta do an oil change and throw my oem wheels/tires back on 2nite after work.

 

Currently driving to boreal now....about 10 more minutes n I'm there...tons of snow guys..I started seeing snow around 2500ft in elevation!!!! I'm at round 5k elevation..it's 20deg now...keep u guys posted...gf gettin mad

 

Just spent 2 nights up at Donner. Rode Northstar yesterday and it was empty. Pretty nice. Snowed pretty good last night, riding today should be fun.

 

u gonna be at Boreal tomorrow as well? I'll be out there all day, if you see a gray 08 say hey.

 

just rode North* yesterday! damn decent snow and plenty more on the way! it was FREEZING *** cold but clear and sunny...i am SOOO Fn stoked for this season now!

Sup everyone..just finishing up now at boreal..just killed a bowl of clam chower n a cup of hot coco, now time to head over to Reno...had a blast here..went down the accelerator a few times n the new castle lift as well..plenty plenty and plenty of fresh powder..only three lifts open or so..but after all this snow they should open the rest up soon..ttyl all

 

I'll be up there Sun/Mon. Staying in Kings Beach overnight. I'll keep an eye in out in the parking lot for ya!!!!

^ Thirty Two boots are the best. I love my Focus Boas. It's amazing how they mold to your feet as they break in.

 

So Tomorrow is the day!!! I'm not sure on whether I will be going to sirra or northstar, but either way I am leaving my house a 5 AM and Im smashing up there. Hope You all get to get up there soon
