As stupid as I think it looks, you all act like your car is better...
Carmod is in the eye of the owner, not what others think of it. I see the work and detail done on it. Do I like it, no, would I do that to a car, no, but do I see a ton of work..yes. Thats why I hate the whole "rice" thing. People bag on rice for being all show no go, but to some, that is what they want. Hell ive built 6 show cars in my life so far, all of them top honor cars in their class, 4 of them were full show, and 1 was a trailer queen (Candy brandy purple 85 nissan w/painted and chrome hydrolics and double diamond Z frame, 6 pumps, 12 batteries)
Why bag on others, just snicker to yourself and move on. Hell half the cars I saw at HIN were jokes...but they still had work put into them.

I was just at Disney like 4 days ago! I saw all kinds of crazy stupid ish down there.... I lived down there for most of my life, the best thing that I ever saw was a 80ish Cadillac lifted like 12" and had 35" mud tires.

having lived a good amount of time in both the bay area and southern california, it's safe to say there's crappy cars everywhere, but overbear is right. you can have the cleanest ride in some circles, but others will see it as rice.

Hell I am sure people are going to call me rice, because some of the plans on the forester is to powder coat all the suspension parts silver, with blue accents, then carry that into the motor with a bit of chrome/SS to offset it.
I agree with the comment that there are crappy cars everywhere. In fact, here in the Bay Area, I saw TWO of these in 1 day.
At the same time, I noticed that people in SoCal freakin' LOVE blacked out taillights - everyone from soccer moms to gangsta's seem to rock 'em.
