i don't consider myself a democrat or a republican

i would really like to see a list of proposed cuts.

from the list they mentioned it seemes like all middle and lower middle class was getting the shaft!

but i got the list from TV... just like the internet... can never believe what you first hear.

Usually, cuts are a good thing in government. Stop supporting the lazy ones.

Keep in mind, I said usually. Kalifornia could use about 38 Billion in cuts!

I am neither nor as well joe. I tend to lean to the right on alot of issues though. But I am no slimy Republican.

You should have heard Michael Savage going off on Republicans. I was ROTFLMAO! He was saying, in a very funny high pitched voice, "Yeah, yeah!!! We are the Republicans, the compassionate Republicans. Give us millions for our campaigns, and we'll build a ship in your back yard."

I had to laugh, because it is so true. I guess that you could say that I am a anti-big-business conservative.

here's a question to ask yourself:

would you like the gov to keep handing out money to people who expect to be given money, when they dont contribute to the society?

welfare was created to help the people during the 1930's depression to get them back up.

but when i saw "old dirty bastard" on M TV pickup his welfare check in a limo, and then cashing it, it just makes me sick. granted it was a ploy by M TV), but still, every and any able-bodied person in the US should do their part and not expect a handout...

Prpose Socialism? This is already becoming the USSA (United Socialist States of America).

And yes there is a reason that there is a red star and red ground the Commifornia, oops I mean, California flag.

I think Rhenquist needs to be president!

I'd like to see a budget with easily identified line items for both the federal government and our state's. Then let people vote where they'd like cuts.

I'm guessing we spend far too much money on programs that produce no discernable benefit. The problem is, when hard times come around everyone wants to take money out of schools, the one area of government spending that can actually be considered an investment which pays itself back over time!

A couple ideas for saving big $'s:

Throw up a white flag in the war on drugs, and accept the fact that humans are going to get high one way or another. Our society needs to take a step back and try to objectively view what is and isn't working. Spending billions on prosecution, incarceration and eradication is not worth the money we spend. We can mitigate the cost to society of illicit drug addicts with HONEST education, and decrimalization of these substances. The morality and ethics involved needs to come from family and community, trying to legislate it has not, and will not work.

Make pork barrel spending illegal. It makes no sense to tack on subsidies for trucker's or farmer's on a bill whose primary purpose is to clarify abortion laws (this is a hypothetical example).

Stream line the IRS. I read many years ago that 66 cents of every tax dollar is spend on the IRS. If this is true, it needs to be fixed.
