have fun, i went last year and let me tell you it's not really a good idea going. after tasting the ribs there, nothing can beat it. i used to think everett and jones was good, then i went to the cook off and tried e&j again, damn what a difference. still hoping to go this year with some friends, but if i do go it'll probably be a hit and run.

Yeah thats why i go. For the best ribs i have ever had. But the key is to buy all the rubs and sauces and do it yourself!!!! I always come home with a lot of stuff.

I have gone the last 5 years in a row, and still love it!!! I am addicted now.

Let me know if you are gonna go. Maybe we could meet up and have a rib and a beer.

Eli

Any body else going????!!!?

Its much cooler when you can hit up the rib cookoff during your lunch break Though, it sucks having the itis at work.

Oh, and for what its worth, the rib cookoff started today, not tomorrow.

Yeah but you can do that anytime. Its just a good excuse to go to reno and get out of town. I cook ribs and all that all the time at my house. The cook off is a whole different experience. They do all the work for you. And not to mention its one big party. Its well worth the drive, the food is amazing. Its the best bbq from all over the us.

Desperado is actually one of the better ones. My favorite is the Rasta Joe's booth from the midwest. They make the best bbq beans i have ever had in my life. It has a sweet mustard taste with chunks of pulled pork. Kinders is there too from pleasant hill, ca. And back forty. There was a new company there from minnesota. Cant remember the name but their ribs where really good. I bought their bbq sauce last year. Really good. I am going to buy lots of rubs this year.

Eli

So is anybody going??!?!?
