We got in brand new 2407s at work over summer, and they were being set up for the partners and some other attorneys. These are guys who love to have every bit of newest technology, just so they can say that they have it.

Yeah, but that is individual opinion. I have a 30 inch Apple monitor at work and love it. I also use dual Dell 24 inchers (2407, I believe) and love it. Then at home I use my 40 inch Sony LCD TV w/ my MacBook Pro and sit back and enjoy...

I get what you mean though - sometimes there is just too much real estate for some people OR they are using it on such a horrible resolution so they can see all their icons that they may as well just have a 17 inch square monitor...
