Recommendation 24" Widescreen LCD?

Here at my work i've upgraded 10 of our developers to the Samsung SyncMaster 245BW monitor. all ordered from newegg.com. all beautiful. all jealous.

Yeah, be wary of the huge widescreen 24"
We got in brand new 2407s at work over summer, and they were being set up for the partners and some other attorneys. These are guys who love to have every bit of newest technology, just so they can say that they have it.
Well, shortly after, a few people wanted to "downgrade" to a dual 17" or 19" setup because the 24s were simply too damn big.

Yeah, but that is individual opinion. I have a 30 inch Apple monitor at work and love it. I also use dual Dell 24 inchers (2407, I believe) and love it. Then at home I use my 40 inch Sony LCD TV w/ my MacBook Pro and sit back and enjoy...
I get what you mean though - sometimes there is just too much real estate for some people OR they are using it on such a horrible resolution so they can see all their icons that they may as well just have a 17 inch square monitor...
