Recommendation 24" Widescreen LCD?
I'm looking to purchase a 24" Widescreen Monitor to be used for gaming/dvds/surfing i-club/work, which monitors would you guys recommend?
*Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP-HC $669
*Samsung SyncMaster 245BW $470
*Samsung SyncMaster 244t $660
or any other recommendations for $700 or less and has to be 24"
Also, where would you purchase them for the lowest price, the Dell I can only find buying it from the Dell website or Ebay.
thanks!

I have the Dell here at work. I've had no problems with it. A couple nice features... built in card reader and USB ports. Handy for thumb drives etc. Also supports PIP. Has multiple inputs VGA, DVI, S-Video, Composite and Component video.
I have Samsung 22" and 17" at home. Both have served me well.
When it all comes down to it though, I prefer my 22" 17" dual screen to my 24" single. The 24" is literally too big. Sometimes it's like sitting in the front row at the movies and you have to turn your head just to see the whole thing. 22" seems to be just right for computer screens to me.

dont know if this model of dell 24" can, but i like the 19"s and 20" ones we have at work.
one nice feature is you can rotate the screen 90 degrees so you can view things in portrait mode.
helps a lot when i'm writing code...

NEC accusync 24". Model ends in CX i think. It goes for around $500 on dell site. Supposed to be for gamers, but if the screen is too glossy, ppl can put an antiglare shield if that is the case.

a buddy of mine said the dell is the best one.. he's planning on getting one.. his major is computer engineer and he's a smart guy so i'd take his word lol. It can do 1080!
I have the samsung 245BW and it's awesome. 5ms, high contrast ratio and you can get them at costco for 479 i believe. i think the samsung is better than the dell (i've used both).

The other thing that I read somewhere when looking at monitor reviews was that the actual LCD panel in the Dell's is the same panel that's in the Apple monitors. Not sure about the validity of this, but it's a damn fine product.
