You sure you don't mean Sport Compact Car? I have that issue and read it, sounds easy enough. Just weld your center diff.

I think he ended up breaking the drive-shaft too with all the power going to the rear.

I was just wondering, why would you want to do that? I haven't read the article, but I skimmed it. They were doing it in order to have a better drift. In my opinion, that's pretty stupid to buy an Impreza and chop it into a RWD vehicle just to have a better drift.

I agree that it defeats the purpose of owning a Subaru, but I wouldn't getting a ride in a RWD WRX...

Don't get it... Maybe just to dyno (although the results would be skewed, you'd still be able to see the delta)...

Why are people so confused by this? It defeats the purpose of buying a subaru? What, subaru is the only company that makes awd cars?

Seems like a cool project to me as long as he can fix the driveshaft problem.

If I had some extra money Id get a GC8 and make it RWD in a second.

Why take one of the sellings points of a particular car and then remove it?

That's like buying a TT Supra and pulling the 2JZ out.

Converting a F-body to FWD.

Pulling the leather interior out of an Audi and replacing everything with low-rent non-luxury hardware.

Because you can and because its unique...? Not to mention more fun to drive.

The comparisons you listed are downgrades btw, not upgrades

I wouldn't mind a RWD 2-door GC8, but not a RWD 4-door WRX...

and going from awd to rwd is an upgrade?

I'm not knocking doing this like once or twice just to see what your car would be like, but leaving it like that is kinda silly
