Angry Rear-ended On I-280

UHHHGGGG! I was rear-ended today on I-280 near downtown San Jose!! I'm soo pissed. My exhaust tip is slightly ripped and bent and my OEM rear lip is f'ed. Luckily the dude had insurance... I hope they will fix everything back to normal.

So what usually happens when you have aftermarket exhaust and you get rear-ended? Will they replace it?.. or put it back to stock? I'm hoping that they will replace the bumper and OEM rear lip too right? Or will they only replace the bumper?

This is such a hassle.

they should be replacing the lip and exhaust since it was "on" the car.

You may actually want them to pay for the original exhaust, as the OEM Subaru price for the system may be worth more than the aftermarket one. Example: When my Grand National got broken into they stole my Sony deck (can't remember the model number, but it was the one with the flip "hiding" face back when they were brand new.) I payed $500 for the Sony deck, but I couldn't find my reciept for it when claiming it tthorugh the insurance. Since there was no proof I had it they would only replace it with the OEM original tape deck. Guess what? The OEM deck, because it was no longer in production, and special to the GN, was worth $700 and change. I'd reccomend looking in to that.

Present all of the receipts of your "mods" to his insurance and they will be covered.

Talking

Alright... so after dealing with the insurance companies today... it looks like everything will be fixed back to exactly how it was at no cost to me...

Another question: where should I take it? They said it's up to me. Should I just go to the dealer? I live in San Jose... if anybody can recommend a place that would be great.

hmm... maybe I could gain from this?... I think I feel a slight pain in my neck all of a sudden....
