You really need to work on some kind of relaxation technique. Claiming on a forum that you would murder someone because they wanted to have a conversation with you isn't impressive.

And city buses are required to stay below 55mph -- but we weren't talking about either of those situations. He was talking about driving in his car with his kid sleeping.

and yes i understand the number one lane is to the left. thats why i said if i was going 55 or 60 in the number one lane i would understand if someone got pissed off but thats why if i do drive that speed its in the slow lane.

you dont get mad at truckers for driving 55 in the slow lane, why would you get mad at you regular joe driving that same speed in that same lane.
I don't get mad at truckers for doing 55mph because they are specialized vehicles running tires that are tested for certain speeds and loads. Your car should be able to drive 65mph while safely carrying your child, especially if it is a newer vehicle.

With few exceptions, I feel there is no excuse for driving below the speed limit on the freeway. All these other people may blow sunshine up your butt because you brought your child into the example, but I don't buy that excuse for a second, sorry.

I'm saying BECAUSE these other people are going that speed, AS LONG AS he stays in the same lane as them (the right hand lane) there should be no issues with him driving 55 for whatever reason (kid sleeping in the back seat, too busy picking his nose and examining his boogers to drive faster, whatever it may be). He is not slowing the flow of traffic because traffic in that lane is already going slow, so it shouldn't be a problem. Ya feel me?

Are you that dumb? Someone stops in the street, gets out of their car, and starts coming back at you is not doing such to "have a conversation" they have started a chain of events that can, has, and does lead to assault. I, as a citizen am well within my rights to defend myself.

Someone comes at me like that, I am going to draw and order them to the ground, I am going to hold them tell the police come, and I will press charges...and if they do not go to ground, if they continue to come at me, I will discharge my weapon in defense of my life.

Just because your a sheep that thinks the world is roses and happiness, and that everyone "just wants to talk", don't include me in such views. The truth is the moment they are out of the car, they have become a threat to life.

The minimum speed on the highway according the CA handbook is the speed which allows you to be in accordance with others on the highway; a.k.a. as the flow of traffic. If everyone is going 80, and you're going 55, you can get pulled over and ticketed for being a detriment to safety. There was someone who got that ticket at a traffic-school class that I attended. If everyone else in all the other lanes is flying right past you, you're going too slowly. Semis can only go so fast; any car can keep up with the flow of traffic.

haha, what charges will you press? Intent to converse?

I appreciate the personal attacks, but no, I'm not "that dumb," nor am I "a sheep that thinks the world is roses and happiness." I am simply responding to your ridiculous claim that you would murder someone for walking towards you.

What I said was that I would stop the car and have a calm conversation with the person behind me about their driving technique. You said that in such a situation you would put "two in the chest" (aka murder) of the person (ME). If someone walked towards you with a WEAPON or clear intent to harm, that's one thing -- but I specifically wrote what my intent in such a situation would be, and in that context you said you would kill them (me). If that's the case, then I may be dumb, but at least I'm not a murderous piece of **** like you.

You may make yourself feel like a big man and possibly impress some of these people with your violent overreactions, but you sure as **** don't impress me with your neanderthal behavior.

Are you legally allowed to carry a loaded gun in your car or are you illegally carrying a firearm?

+1 on intent to harm being one thing and being trigger happy another.

You have illegaly stoped your car in the street, blocking my way, then you get out of the car and start to come at me. What do YOU think I should think is going to happen?

Sorry but that is, in the eyes of CA law/court system, already a "hostile situation" and I can respond with the level of force it takes to defend myself. So my liberal, sheepish friend you may think it "Neanderthal" to defend life, but I clearly hold a higher value on my life, and the lives of my loved ones.

Also, a spell checker wouldn't hurt kid.

So long as the firearm is unloaded, you can carry it legally in a car. I keep the mags locked in the glove box, this again conforms to CA law. Keep in mind open carry is legal in the state of CA, but CWP's are hard to get, however I am working on mine now. I already have one for 12 other states.
