Just to let you all know, being on the inside of the Martinez Detention Facility is not as fun as one would think. The stale bread and 1 slice of bolognia for lunch wasn't all that hot, you'd think they'd have better cooks in there with all the taxes they receive. And to the Danville pigs, kiss my butt. Not only did I get cuffed and an overnight and all day stay in jail, a $3000 bail, my car got searched and impounded, and I get written up for wreckless driving and evading the police. I'm sorry, I didn't know pulling in a parking lot and shutting off my car out of courtesy was evading.

dude was this last night off danville blvd? I was at home and heard a subaru go by pretty quick and then a second later i heard a police car with its sirens blazing fly by on danville blvd.

Yep, that would be me. It was about 12AM yesterday morning. I came off of El Pintado and got stopped at the church almost across the street from your place.

As for the story, there's not much to tell. Everything they wrote me up for and did was completely vague. They didn't have me on radar, and I was not trying to evade them. When I saw the lights behind me, I pulled over. Maybe they had been following me longer than I thought.

I was coming home from a friends house in Blackhawk (no drinking or anything like that there) and I always take the freeway home but I decided to take a backway instead, so I went from Camino Tassajara to Diablo, El Cerro, and then El Pintado Rd onto Danville Blvd. The police station is on the corner of El Cerro and El Pintado. So I turned there and was not going over the speed limit at any time before that. When I turned on to the 35mph road, I accelerated alittle quicker than normal driving (I'm running catless straight pipes so it always sounds faster than I am going). I did not see anybody out and about, the road was completely empty. The road gets a little curvy so I was having fun and next thing I know I have 2 Danville pigs on my butt. So I turn onto Danville Blvd and pull over in the nearest (church) parking lot. I shut off my car (I still had my foot on the brake pedal so my brake lights were still on) and they pulled in right behind me. They came up with guns drawn yelling at me to show my hands. I already had my hands on the wheel, sheesh. One of them comes upto my window and yells at me to get out of the car. I pop the door and get out and he asks me for my DL while another one goes through my jockey box and pulls out my registration and insurance. He asks me if I know why they're doing this and I answer "No." He says they're gonna write me up a hefty ticket for wreckless driving and trying to evade them. I almost started to laugh. Evading?? If I wanted to loose them it would have been fairly easy on that back road. 1 or 2 more cop cars show on top of the two that were already there. He walks to his car and comes back in 2 minutes and tells me he has bad news. He's gonna haveto impound the car. "Excuse me??" I said. "What for?" He doesn't say exactly why he just says they haveto. I offered to have my parents, who live less than two miles down the road, to see if they could come and pick it up. He refuses. So I call Dez to ask if she'll come and pick me up. He goes back to his cruiser and comes back to me after another few minutes and tells me he has worse news. He talked to his supervisor and after reviewing my driving record (a few speeding tickets, most for 10 over, and a red light violation) they're gonna haveto cuff me and take me in for an overnighter, assuring me that I will not be in for over 8 hrs. I'm baffled. He did not have me on radar, all he supposedly saw me do was roll through a stop sign. And I get this? I told him if they tow my car, no towing, only on a flatbed, which they honored. They frisked me and searched my car and found nothing. They proceeded to cuff me and took me upto the Martinez prison. I ended up being in there for almost 24 hrs. On the way up the cops were complete jerks. They flew up the freeway at 95mph and would jam their brakes and follow people just to screw around with them, all the while laughing. That's just the first hour..the cops up at the jail house are a whole different story.

I went to get my car out of the lot today, 50 bucks for the PD and 250 for the towing company. When I went in to the police station the cop at the front desk sees my drivers license and starts to laugh and says he remembers me. Talk about buttholes on a power trip. I have NEVER received a ticket anywhere else, all of them have been in Danville.
