Info on Karl Malden
He also worked his surname...Sekulovich...into many scenes in various movies. 
Malden died at his home in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles on July 1, 2009 at the age of 97. He is said to have died of natural causes. Malden's manager said "It could be many things. I mean, he was 97 years old!" A service will be held for Malden in the next 3–4 weeks.[8] He is said to have been in poor health for several years.
Malden spoke Serbian language until he was in kindergarten.

I remember wtahcing that show in reruns on some random no-name station when I was in Bosnia about 10 years ago... I watching it every day for a month...
