Quick question on cpu temp

Normal temp is at 31*C and while playing games, it goes up to 44*C-49*C.
IS that an okay temp. or is it high?

Totally fine. Id be more concerned about gpu temp. Make sure it has adequate air flow and cooling.

That temp is actually not high at all for gpu. (depending on vendor and application of video card) some run stable at 80c with fans only spinning at 40-60%

Video cards tend to run higher than a CPU. CPU you never ever will want ot break 60 or above during load. Video cards run hotter, 100max, but you don't want to get close to that while even gaming. Most of the newer cards you won't even hit 80under load. So you should aim for anything under 70ish =P

Search up "max gpu load" or "max gpu temp" on tomshardware.com. That site is legit and I've been using it for years to gauge systems to build for myself within a reasonable price. Not all the system builds by Tomshardware are feasible and there are a lot of nerds in there that can counter argue most builds with their own builds. Great place for any tech information, they usually have the latest in a lot of things. But anything computer related, you won't find info on it anywhere else.

another good site is anandtech.com Have a ton of benchmarks on all types of computer hardware and a forum of people arguing all the builds, just like tom's lol.

You can also run speccy which is a pretty handy program for seeing how hot your pc is running among other info (i.e. if all your RAM is seen)

Try bench marking too, using programs like pc wizard, everest, I think it was Sandra?,...... so many many many more from back in the day.

Also check your contact from heatsink to cpu surface and what thermal paste and grade you are using. I always used liquid thermal paste by zalman once that came out years ago. Liquid has better cooling contact tendencies, but you will have to replace and change it out more frequently (annually). Still got my little vial too lol

depending on what type of video card you have (hopefully Nvidia) you can get a program called Precision from EVGA. It does a pretty nice job of displaying all the critical info and also allowing you to overclock the card if you like.

EVGA | Software | EVGA Precision
