really? i use to do that in my 88 crx and friends 96 civic. i can still do it in my current car.

i did it on my friends 89 civic SI! And boy was that thing falling apart.

Did it on a 90 nissan pickup truck

94 3000gt SL

91 Nissan 300 zx

Yeah, you couldn't... Hers was a 95 Civic something or other... had like 90hp. And my accord had messed up issues when you;d try something like that. Made all sorts of crazy noises, and would just die. (it was a bucket though)

I did that in andre's civic after the DX>CX motor swap.. it was only a 60hp motor can still can do that...

you can do that in any manual car... cars don't really make any decent TQ at idle, but you can move the car.

I had a rental car in Germany... it had a lot of torque (not as much as the STi)... and you could do that... it tripped me out.
That's how I taught my friend how 2 drive stick. As soon as the car would move, I would have her push in the clutch. Had her do that until she knew where the engagement point was and then had her apply gas.

BTW, just ask if you need help with learning how 2 drive stick cuz it sounds like you need to put in some work.

LOL... no, Im good... I just never explored that area of a manual (Never knew, so I never tried). Ive driven plenty of manuals... hell, my first car was a manual... as was the Opel Vectra I rented in Germany (Which was sweet!)
