Buy a Harbor Frieght paint gun
Borrow Air Compressor
Trust me it will be worth it to do it right

Wow. That looks like a huge improvement. I don't want to mess up my hood, but that'd be nice. The light sanding should also be able to eliminate the tree sap, racoon prints, and the wax crayon thingy on my hood.
Maybe I could do a test run on one of my vents or something. If something goes wrong, it wouldn't be that expensive to replace.

I want to try to use the aerosol cans I bought. Don't know what type of clearcoat that is. Want to experiment putting that stuff on the CF.

But you need to wipe it down with alcohol or some other solvent to get the sap and wax off - I'd suggest before sanding but for sure before spraying.
Absolutely, test it out either on a vent or on a small corner of the underside, if the resin doesn't like the clear, a little spot inside isn't going to be a big worry, getting another vent to match if you screw that up is going to be tough- so I'd go for a non visible surface.
just make sure not to sand to far down you don't want to mess up the beautiful cf. when you are doing it it will look like complete $h*t but after you spray the first layer of clear coat it will takes its beauty back lol.
