cops don't carry dB (sound level) meters and are not specifically trained to be able to tell the exact dB level by ear. Therefore it is up to their discretion as to whether the car is below the legal sound limit and he could have had the car towed and impounded so it could be tested. Of course he would have had his *** handed to him in court

He should have just taken your car in, since your friend was being an ***, Apex n1 is not gonna make it under the db limit without the silencer.

 

I understand how a lot of people think he's a dick, but that's most cops nowadays. I think the OP is still lucky he got away. My car looks pretty much stock, but it's Catless with Invidia N1 Street, it's loud. If that happened to me, since I'm young and have a loud car, I wouldn't even be able to talk. I hope I don't get pulled over anytime soon (knock on wood) but If I do, if I get a warning, no matter how GAY the cop is, I'm considered very lucky. I think I might invest in a quieter CBE soon aswell lol.

they are bunch of dicks.. but at the sametime i think they are only cops that will harass you but in the back of your head you have a chance at going home wihtout a ticket...

i drive a ricer honda around.. and i live near the rivermark plaza off montague/san tomas and our area is filled with cops, ive been harassed alot but in the end being polite to SCPD goes a long way... its just " JUST GO HOME" "GO HOME, GET IT FIXED" "I CAN TOW YOUR CAR, AND I WILL NEXT TIME, BUT JUST GO HOME"

I cant say the same about SJPD or even fremont pd
