So i picked up my car sunday its all stock and im on my way to the window tinting place with my father ahead to get a ride back home and i get pulled over on 280n by saratoga avenue The cop said that the reason was that their are becoming alot stricter with street racers... he said that they have alot of illegal stuff under their hoods... so the cop pops my hood and checks my motor like he knows what hes doing and says okay your free to go... then today same thing i got pulled over on white road and had my car inspected thank god i had my front windows down becasue i got them done 15 percent in the front... same thing the cop checks my car and says okay your good to... my cousin also got pulled over in his almost stock evo9 for a random check what BS

i just like to have my privacy my beater has 5 percent all the way around....

I ran a red last night on Montague in front of a cop while I was on the phone. The cop decided to turn my way instead of going straight and coasted a bit with me. I guess I'm lucky, ha.

 

what do you have done to your car, any mods like intake or bov?

 

only mods are 5 percent window tint in the back and 15 percent in the front and thats all otherwise bone stock on the highway i was going 65-70 and on white road i wa going 40ish....

 

That really sucks with profiling, but you have an STi. The big wing is just asking to get pulled over, don't blame cops, blame ricers who think the big wing is cool. Officers are ignorant and just don't know any better, I'd be happy that they didn't think your intercooler was illegal or something stupid like that and start questioning every single part on your car.

On another note... you were asking about an aftermarket exhaust to make the car sound better. With your car's luck, I'd recommend against that.

what did the cop pull you over IN THE FIRST PLACE?

there is no reason to check under your hood unless you are stopped FOR A VALID REASON.

so, unless the cop has x-ray vision, you should tell them TO GO POUND SAND...

now, if you were pulled over for speeding AND THEN ASK to see under you hood, you are kinda SOL...

 

A cop can look under your hood for any reason, he doesn't have to give you one..

 

i cant believe you just said that. sounds like you were proud that you were on the phone and ran red light with out getting pulled over or something. you shouldnt be on the phone in the first place, and that cop should have pulled you over.

starting july 1st which is next week you will get ticket for being on the phone while driving, hope you guys all know that.

i really hate people on the phone while driving. i do get phone calls while driving but i tell them that im driving and i will have to call them back right away. driving on the phone is really dangerous. i still can't believe you said it like it was nothing.

i got a state ref ticket like a week ago, i was going 40 in 5th gear so it didnt sound like anything, cop was going opposite lane, hella does a u turn, swerves IN AND OUT OF CARS (so he put ppl at danger), just to tail me for half a mile then pulls me over, says my exhaust was too loud (i got a pretty decent quiet tbe), and then writes me up for excessive noise and intake, couldn't just let me get off with a fix it, had to send me to state ref ... sigh. cops really dont have **** on their list to do these days do they?

yea i heard about it from jon lol when your car looks too nice, cops do get jealous too.

some cops are really stupid too. you the jeff, the one with the evo. he was driving his intergra one day and the CHP was on the side and just hop back to the freeway with out even looking and jeff had to brake really hard and he HONKED at the CHP! lol it was funny. and the cop pulled him over and scream at him. was like WHAT THE F*** were you think you were doing!? and he screamed back was like you cut me off! his car was totally stock so he didnt care.

the cop told him to pop his hood and was like i know you guys do swaps on these cars and stuff. blah blah, but cant give him anything because his car was stock, and he didnt do anything wrong but honked at the cop lol so the cop let him go. he felt GREAT doing that. haha the FYI he got state ref on his evo just last week too. lol

 

sorry to hear your bad luck - this is exactly why I sold my STI - at least you didn't get ticketed - I got 2 tickets in the same week with STI once...
