Buddy and I had our cars done by Mike, I have to say this man is DEDICATED! He spent hours and hours being meticulous with my car and my buddy's truck!
I'm super happy with the outcome!
(The car was parked in a dirt lot and covered in mud, its a crappy pic but the first one is how it looked before)

Michael did a fantastic job on my '04 S2000 today. I went with the Stage 2 package and it felt like he made every effort and care to treat the car right. I've never let anyone else detail my cars before, but I just haven't had the time and energy to do it myself anymore. The last time I picked up my Porter Cable was probably over 2 years ago. I was apprehensive at first. But after watching Michael work, I'd be confident in letting him detail any of my cars in the future. I didn't have a ride today, so I basically hovered over him and watched him work for a full 7 hours.
He has a great attitude and amazing work ethic. He didn't stop until the car was done, skipping lunch and I didn't even see him take a break. He took every care that I would have with my own car and paid attention to every detail. He washed the car, including the inside of the wheels. Clayed the car and masked off the rubber trim. The single stage polish removed all the spiderwebbing and swirl marks from my New Formula Red paint. He really made the red paint glow. I still had some deeper scratches remaining, the kind you might get when wiping a dirty (sand?) wash mit across the car. I believe those would have also been removed had I requested the Stage 3 package with two-stage polish. He then applied paint sealant and finally a nice paste wax.
He topped off the paint correction by polishing the exhaust tips, dressing the tires, applying wheel protectant and cleaning all of the glass. We also had a final walk-around inspection where he used quick detail spray for a final once over. After I thought he was done and paid him, he still kept going over the car and doing little things. The guy certainly seems to be a perfectionist.
I know the location of every scratch on my car so I went looking for them after he was through. I'm completely satisfied with the results and look forward to his work on my Subaru later this week.

Thank you for the kind words Char! It was a pleasure detailing your car today, sorry you had to stand for so long! Your donation to this fundraiser project is greatly appreciated!
Some of you have asked for proof of work before and I was unable to supply any. I was reluctant enough to borrow a camera from a relative and was able to grab some shots of a recent detail. I wasn't able to document every step of the detail since I was working alone, but this is what I have to share!
Upon arrival, client already washed a week prior to appointment. Looks good from afar, paint is very healthy.

Upon closer inspection, mild swirling and cob-webbing detected.

Mild swirl marks and cob-webbing with fine obscure scratching.

First foam gun soak to lift loose body contaminants. Gives me a chances to go around all plastic trimmings and crevices with a fine brush.

Second foam gun soak and dual bucket hand wash.

Drying the car and chasing off remaining water droplets with the compressed air.

Clay bar after finishing up the hood. Fairly mild body contamination. Loose but stationary body contaminants cause streaking marks in the clay.

Prepping for polishing.

Prepping all around. Tail lights were shortly masked after.

Second test panel, this one with orange light cutting pad with M205. Pad choice is settled! Couldn't get 50/50 shot, too much work to be done!

Finished product! After 7 hours.

Nice and moist, but not overwhelmingly glossy and full of harmful solvents to your tires.

Synthetic sealant and carnauba paste wax returning a deep definition finish.

Closer inspection for fine swirling and scratches. Hard to find any....

Im still new at taking pictures. Quality will get better in time.

Damn! That looks really nice! I can't wait to set up my appointment, just tired of all the rain! It messed up my shooting season this year and the place I like to frequent is closed until November now
Anyways that S2K came out really nice

Documented another recent detail that I am happy to share with you guys. Yet another red colored vehicle haha.
Upon first inspection. Red paint was very dull and not so vibrant, reflection is hazy and flat.

Dirty dirty RPF1's!

Dirt, grime, and brake dust in every bend and crevice.

White residue (possibly previously applied compound) found in the door handle edges.

Everywhere, even the TRD badge.

It needs a good wash.

Before wash evaluation. Covered with dirt, moderate swirling and cob-webbing visible.

Same everywhere else on the car.

Did I mention water spots?

And lots more foreign body contaminants.

Wheels were inspected after thorough brush cleaning and suspected to have brake dust and iron corrosion particles. Iron decontamination in process. Formula turns purple once it reacts with contaminants.

Even on the calipers.

Good to see its picking it up from every crevice.

Another scrub down for agitation.

Second foam gun soaking and halfway through washing the car.

Rinse down then inspected. Body probably has same iron corrosion as wheels, iron decontamination shows.

Very bad contaminated panels of the car.

Formula dripping with iron everywhere.

After claying half of the hood.

Clay bar step done. Now for another inspection.

Still not much of a vibrant reflection after cleaned, even from a bright background.

Now the defects are clear, moderate to heavy swirling, scratches and cob-webbing.

This paint has battle scars! Been neglected for too long.

Masked up and ready to go.

Test section preparation.

Before panels.

After two passes with orange light cutting pad and M205. Cob-webbing is removed, but deep abstract scratches and some swirling in specific areas.

Single stage polish comparison. Orange pad took too many passes so yellow heavy cutting pad was chosen to get more cut out of the finishing polish and time.

All cleaned up. Already sun down.

Finally finished, much brighter than before.

Wheels look good as new.

This is how we do it.

Deep scratches still left but is much better than before for a single stage polish.

Paint looks a lot healthier now after the paint correction, sealant and paste wax application.

Once again, thanks for all the support so far! Lets keep going strong!

Hey Michael,
We gotta try and arrange a time for my wagon this coming week or weekend. I'm definitely looking forward to how the car will look after a two-stage polish!
