If you got yhe stock optional stereo, and it skips, they should fix it for you.
I've heard that the dealerships have been trying not to fix NVH-type problems (noise/vibration/harshness) on STi's.\
Everything you bought with the car, that came on the car when you bought it, is covered under warranty.
