Problems With Stock Stereo???

*I moved this post from the stereo section to here. Only 10 people looked at it, and not one response. So bay area boys help me out!*

Just wondering if anyone here is or have had this problem. I have an 04' wrx with the 6 cd player. Its only happened twice, but the stereo will not come on when I start the car. I try everything, but it just wont turn on until I turn the car off and then on again. If it happens again, I'm going to take to the dealer. Of course it wont happen to them! Anyways, just curious to see if anyone here has had that problem? Any suggestions on the problem??

edgar,
Since its only happened twice, I know for a fact that the dealer wont be able to recreate the problem. I will give it to them and all they will say is that it works fine. What I will probably do is complain about it and have them keep it on record. So if it happens again or if it gets really bad, they will have my complaint on record.

he said wrx not STi...

anyways, if i were you, VIDEO TAPE this weird problem, especially if it's intermittent...

intermittent problems are the worse to diagnose since there's a chance it wont show up to the mechanic...

I've had the same problem three or four times now, but mine is an '02. I haven't brought it back to the dealer yet. My stereo also mysteriously changes the volume by itself.
