Then take it to someone who can diagnose it properly. Throwing parts at something isn't the right way to fix it.

No ... I don't want to just throw parts in. My plan is to take it to I KNOWN ad respected shop that KNOWS the ins and outs of the subies. The closest shop for me is GST... if I take it to them I'd have to take a day off.. This is the problem.....

If I go there w/out the ps pump and end up needing it I'd have to order one and wait another day (take another day off)... Rather be ready and handle it in one day...

I don't war to buy a 400-500 dollar part and show ip and end up finding out I don't need one... And be stuck with a new and expensive part ... Like I said I'ma give em a call..

Based on your last post you could be Ghetto like me if money is the issue. Go to pick n pull fin a rear end collision car and rip one out of there. Usually pulling somthing out for me will help me to put it back in.

I know this is not the ideal solution and you are taking a gamble with the part but usually pick n pull is pretty good about warranting thier parts. I.E. if you put it in and it doesnt work they will let you get another one. Tehn the only thing you are out is time. Does not need to be pick and pull but any salvage company you have locally.

If money is not the issue deffinately get OEM. If you are planning on going to GST just call Mike they may possibly have one laying around so you may not have to wait. Very crafty those guys are.

I called and left a VM

I also notice that there ate two hoses that come out of the actual ps fluid.. The "right" hose that runs to the actual ps pump has some grease build up around the area were the hose and ps pump meet.... Is this normal for a car with 70k?

There shouldn't be any grease there (if it is grease, are you sure its not power steering fluid that's been covered with dirt?)

Those spring clamps are weak and they fail over time, replace all of the spring clamps with worm drive ones, its better to spend an hour and 10 bucks buying new clamps and find out if that was the problem instead of paying 400 bucks to find out if it was something else.

Only tools you need are a pair of bigass plyers, channel locks or vice grips (to remove the spring clamps), and a screw driver.

and if you are crazy and maniacal like my friend Ryan you put the worm drive underneath the hose so you cant see it. That way your engine bay looks clean.
