Ryan, if you ever decide to part with it, LMK - I really wanted a VII, but was trying to track one of these down too. My daily beater is a more standard Orient automatic; they're solid everyday watches and seem to hold up about as well as my Seiko divers.

Today, I'm wearing the STi watch. I like it, just not enough to wear daily. One thing really bugging me is how 'notchy' the rotor feels.
I have a few Seikos I really like. Maybe I should start wearing them more.
p.s. memorial50 is still a valid code for 1/2 off any watch on Orient's US site. Though I should point out that it's an AD, not the actual Company.

The Ducati watches are about the same, Till they went to a different maker. I bought a few to hand out to my mod staff for the holidays. I then went and checked up on buying a few more and found they are 5x the price and less quality.
Hold onto them if they are real. They could turn out to be a great investment.

^ old school....
I wonder if that would survive the .50bmg percussion and shock. I know the last time I owned one of those. The 44mag ate one up. But that was back in 1985

I have a G-Shock that has survived multiple rallies, crashes (at least one at over 100mph) and all kind of other crap... just keeps going. It does need a new battery though.
$700 for an Orient? You crazy, dawg.

Cheaper than the SPT heatshield i just bought from you guys on Thursday! Anyhoo, I needed something on the wrist while the TAG is in for its 5 year service/rebuild, but i'm liking it so much i might look around for the 2011 model as well.

I have a few years before my TAG goes in for service. I'll probably have the crystal replaced as well (stupid that it's plastic on the Monaco). I guess that's not too bad when you consider how long it has been since you bought a watch. Unfortunately I can't go more than a year or so without getting at least one.
How much is TAG's service? What model do you have?

I figure the service will be ~300-350, well worth it to keep it running perfectly
found a pic of it here on some blog...
