@queeg9k, I didn't forget the pics, but I need to take it when I warm it back up for dinner, so don't worry!

Alrighty, here's a pic and the recipe:
About 1.5 pounds of your favorite cut of beef (preferably something that won't dry out)
About a pound+ of carrots
2 purple onions
1 pack brown beech mushrooms
1 pack ram's head mushrooms
1 boullion cube
1 box House Hayashi roux
4 jiggers of the booze of your choice (I recommend red wine, brandy, or even mirin)
2-4 tablespoons chuuno or Worecestershire sauce
2-4 tablespoons ketchup
Put 6 cups of water in a pot, toss in chopped up and toss carrots, beef, onions, and boullion in, bring to boil and let simmer a half hour or so. Check to see if carrots are tender. Then add mushrooms. Simmer for 5 minutes. Then add roux to mix along with the booze. Mix and simmer for about 5 minutes. Then add chuuno and ketchup. Mix and simmer for another 5 minutes. Serve over rice.
Should make about 6-10 servings, depending on how big a fatty you are.
I think that's it...

On a sort-of-related side note, I made my own katsu sauce the other week because the local safeway didn't have any, and I was out of the usual bulldog katsu sauce when making my homemade chicken katsu
Basically applesauce, ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, worchestershire and sugar/spices...id have to say it was awesome

Try cutting/mincing the onions up and stir frying it with a decent amount of oil till they are brownish (but not burnt!), THEN you dump it into the curry
really brings out the flavor
Japanese curry is easy to cook, with minimal fuss and clean up! I might make some tonight
