I think that the track is a place were 9-5ers can get silly and have a little fun for some exhausting amount of money but for the people that dont have money to toss around and dont have a condusive work schedule, there really isn't much of an option. As far as the legal issues go, f@!# the police. I hate cops especially San Mateo chp.

Along with the free murder zone, I think there should be a punish stupidity zone, where questions like this would be warrant for a good beating ^.^

IMO: I think we should have public tracks also. And they shouldn't cost so damn much money to use. It's outrageous to have to pay in excess of $100 or $200 to drive you car around a track for a few hours.

However, street racing is generally drag racing and it's CHEAP to race on the strip. I think Sac Raceway is $20 to run all night on Wed. A lot better to pay $20 and do it legally than to pay with your life or someone elses because you rammed a mini van full of kids.

I understand, however if you're going to be a jerk to someone (and I know you weren't) you should at least be well founded in being a jerk.

I had a debate class at Sac State a few semesters back and I had to debate on bilingual education, which is a very heated topic among some. Those that I questioned, though, knew I was researching for a project, not advocating a certain side, because I was up front about what I was doing, as was he.

Andre,

I'm sorry, but I haven't developed a strong enough medication to treat your condition.

Sincerely,

I race and drive Very fast almost all the time. Alot of my friends do too. But when you deside to street race people need to think very hard about the posible consequences of doing so. Don't do it were people use sidewalks, Never were children gather, never go through intersetions or run stop signs.

But i my stupid opinion only a very selected few should ever be racing anyway. Too many people have a hard enough time just trying to drive thier cars let alone race them.

I'm mainly just a "stop light" racer and a country side "rally racer"

$20 to get how many runs in ? Bah. After driving how many miles? Bah. There aren't more tracks because there's not enough business to justify the rediculous insurance costs.

Also, such things generally need to be approved by city councils or public vote. The import car scene generally offers more than racing... like shootings, fights, gangs, tearing up the local neighborhood, theft, etc. These make city people upset (of course, only when its in their own immediate neighborhoods ). It also drives up insurance rates. Decreases property values.

I just love the way our culture sets its values.

I agree with that.. as long as you can convince the other person to meet you there

other than that racing should be done on the track and only the track. Tax dollars goto these "special roads". tracks are privately owned which is why it costs money to race. I shouldn't have to pay for some stupid ricer to run on my streets
