Police Scanners?

I recently got a speeding ticket going 79 in a 55. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good police scanner i could pick up and how much it might be?

Heard quality of the Valentine 1, but it's pricey and pretty standard not to move from it's price range.

Car Info: .
so you are going to use a scanner to stop yourself from getting another speeding ticket?

is the cop going to say on the radio "hey, there is a guy speeding in such and such vehicle" then you'll slow down? cause by then they probably already determined your speed.

or to find out info about speed traps?

"If you hear the radar det then it may already be too late. If you hear your discription on the scanner its REALLY too late."

Doesn't CHP use Lidars now? So a police scanner is pretty useless.

The state is pretty poor, less and less lasers are in operation. You can also get out of the ticket if they're not calibrated.

That's the best protection haha, but sometimes you don't even realize your speed. I think speeding tickets are dumb if your the only one around. I was on a back road with 0 cars around, I wasn't even driving "hard" meaning like ripping corners and wot all the time, I just didn't realize I was hitting 60 in a 35. But I am getting out of the ticket, my friend got a speeding ticket on the same road and it's illegal for them to clock you for a few different reasons...

V1 with the latest firmware + laser jammer with front/rear heads would be an extremely effective countermeasure system against radar/lidar speed traps.

Of course knowing how to use these tools and good situational awareness is the most important factor.
