Someone I knew received 15+ years for manslaughter of a 60 or 70-ish year old male while DUI sometime in the mid 90`s here in CA.

30 days though?!, that`s embarrassing.

Goodell, the NFL commissioner, will probably suspend him for atleast 4 games. which is a big chunk of his salary since they get paid by games.

But since he owned up and called 911 right away he got off light and he paid the family and undisclosed amount to avoid more court. But still that doesn't make it right but we all know if you have money you can get off A LOT easier.

sucks that he killed someone with a .12 at 7 AM in the morning, but the person he killed was jaywalking trying to catch a bus.

Florida law allows for drunk driving suspects to avoid harsher sentences if they can prove that the other party was at least partially responsible for any accidents. In other words, if a jury finds that the pedestrian who was killed contributed in some way to the incident—by jaywalking, for example—it won't matter that Stallworth was drunk. So the Cleveland wideout could see his case reduced to a misdemeanor DUI, the manslaughter charge could disappear, and he would not face prison time.

this goes with a recent story, David Earls raped a 4 year old girl and got 1 year sentence. since he spent the last 9 months in jail already(during trial), he'll be free in 3 months.

The justice system is the last system holding the balance between the 3 different areas of government... what a joke. The Justice system might as well be the $$$ system.
