Stay away from 3/6 or other limit games if you're used to playing the No Limit structure. Limit is a completely different game of go-fish.

Remember, POSITION POSITION POSITION. The biggest mistake I see n00bs make is not taking position seriously. Hands like AJ or QK are decent starting hands, but you just can't play those hands in the front.

Also take re-raises very seriously. If you've check raised your AQ in the early position and then get re-raised again, you should realize you're beat and lay it down. Some people can't get away from hands like AQ, but being able to fold those hands in those situations is the mark of an experienced player.

Remember the Casino isn't your typical house-game.

thanks for the info, its not that hard at all for me to walk away from AQ or AJ, i realize im beat a lot of the time and save my cash. and yes, position is a KEY. I plan on watching a table for awhile before i sit down. see who likes to raise preflop, so i can play behind them, crap like that

oh yeah, definitely watch first! Usually you'll get there and there will be a waiting list anyway, so walk around and watch while you wait.

Win or lose, be sure to drink til you puke afterwards!
Good luck and happy birthday, Max.
