My stereo crapped out on me not to long ago so I got it replaced with a 9855. While doing that I had them hook up that iPod box so my ipod would work with it and an AInet box so I could run extra things...like my PS2.
It's never worked. NEVER. so I went in today to make an apt. to have it fixed and come across the new Alpine catalog.
So yeah...the new 9857 is cheaper....by like $200 than the 55. Not as good in many ways but now it has the ipod deal built into it. yeah built into it. So no $150 box.
All you have to do is buy this wire. Plug it into the Ainet port in the back and there you have it...full iPod integration...on top of that, its 8...yeah 8 mother freakin times faster than the box.
so anyone in the market of a decent deck get the 9857.

oh...and I found out that serius is going to be coming out with a deal where they broadcast TV. ...yeah TV. And instead of that 70 pound dish you needed before to get Sat. tv in your car now it's a tiny little box and antenna just like the standard Sirius antenna. So I'm gonna be waiting for that to come out and getting me some Sat. tv and radio in my car. WOOOT!!!
