Play in the mud
This does look like something of a giggle. The only place the wife was happy with my "normal driving" was on the tracks over by Mammoth (which are 60ft wide, but not muddy). I quite fancy the mud version.
if you guys can wait until feb, 16, there's gonna a big get-together:

yeah, Hollister Hills is awesome for Trucks, its kinda small, but has a lot of tough terrain.
There are better options if we'd ever have a meet, lots of North Bay guys know of some places.

i've never done one like the guys in the North Bay.
Radios to clear oncoming traffic and damp conditions are what we need, otherwise we'll have to carry spare air filters.
a video camera and a truck to pull us off the cliffside like that blue/yellowed wheel subaru a year or 2 ago! ahhhhh

That was Altamont next to the freeway by Livermore or Tracy? a couple years ago before it was remodeled by the new owner or something. That was when is was just the two ovals, with dirt infields.
Now its even cooler with esses and a few extra turns, like a micro road course, even though its a lost rallyx site which wouldve been a perfect location.
now it would be perfect for AutoX
(i dont think they used any measuring devices while making the track, i think they said "pave away!" look at the esses, they look like crap)
There is an awesome "bowl" kinda triangle shape to the left behind the pit parking that would be perfect for a rallyX event, almost bigger than the infield rallyX
