I have Diversions as well, which is also pretty interesting.

It's the most cohesive song wise. I'd say it's like an actual film, as opposed to the "episodes" of songs on the other albums (which I do enjoy plenty too).

went

Here's what I guess is my "short list". Some of these bands are already mentioned above. Some of these are one hit, or branched bands but still apply.

Beastie Boys - All of them.
Depeche Mode - Most of the stuff up to the mid-90's. (Go ahead, laugh, but it's decent stuff.)
Metallica - S & M, Master of Puppets, Black, then of course all but the most recent album.
Pearl Jam - Early Stuff.
Temple of the Dog.
Mother Love Bone.
Audioslave.
Fugazi.
Dance Hall Crashers.
Johnny Cash.
NoFX.
Primus.
Les Claypool & The Holy Mackerel, as well as a couple other projects he did.
Rage Against the Machine, before Zach got annoying.
Run DMC - All of them.
Santana - All of them.
Foo Fighters - All of them.

If you haven't yet, see them live. I've seen quite a few live shows and theirs was maybe the best of all. Wouldn't seem obvious that it'd all work live but it really does.
