People are stupid

Yeah so I was driving along today heading to my mechanic to schedule an all-fluid change, minding my own business. I begin to turn into the drive way slowing down to avoid the kids that I had seen playing in the drive way to make sure I didn’t hit them, when I all of a sudden hear screeching and feel someone hit the back end of my car, only to see part of my bumper fly off , and the other guys car drive into a ditch. His car was in far worse shape then mine, all I needed was a new bumper, and his front end was just hammered.

The guy had to be going like 35, and was within 15 ft before he even bothered to slow down. The only good thing that came out of it was that we settled it on scene, the only thing I need is a bumper and the bumper painted and my mechanic ordered it within about 10 minutes of the actual accident.

Isn’t it kind of expected to SLOW DOWN when someone is right in front of you with their break lights on and making a turn rather slowly? Needless to say I was rather pissed about the situation, and my baby is missing part of her bumper for probably the next two weeks.

Just thought I’d share my misery with everyone. I'm sure others have been where.

yeah i know that in traffic i tend to just put it in reverse and slam on the gas...haha.... NO!!

IQ test sounds good, or just give the dumb drivers the sh*tcars so they can all run into each other and no one will care.

is your brothers car automatic or stick? if it's auto, super simple to prove that she's at fault.

Unhappy

I was about to ask the same question as British Banger, but didn't want to come off sounding like a d*ck.

LOL,Thats a good one...but I think a COMMON SENSE test, and/or an ENGLISH READING TEST would be more valid....since most driving situations are pretty much common sense/following traffic signals/signs.....if someone is infront of you with brakes on.....well, you slow down to avoid hitting them, OR you see a RED Octagonal shaped sign with big white letters that say STOP....well, then you STOP. <~~see common sense/reading, you dont have to have a high IQ to have common sense or to be able to read.

just my 2¢

it's a 5sp. but the road was flat. he was just sitting there, pretty much in stop and go traffic. next thing he knew, a bump. the SUV had on of those big *** grills in the front like as if they were going to go off roading just in case it hits a shopping cart LOL. any way, he thinks that she just doens't know how big that thing is and missed judged the distance.
