Papa Smurf WRX stolen?
My sisters neighbor hood email newsletter thing had this:
Papa smurf from i-club?
Papa smurf from i-club?
Just fyi, our car was stolen Sunday night/Monday
morning. And before anybody says "you should
have parked it in your garage" like they did when
my other cars were broken into, it was in the
driveway with motion sensitive lights, and my
garage won't fit my cars. They covered the
lights with a 3XL grey shirt (which the police
threw away). There were also 6 cars stolen that
night near the vicinity. The car has since been
recovered and was completely stripped. So, after
2 car breakins, and a stolen car, please remind
me why this is such a great neighborhood. I need
some cheering up, not more lectures about how
this is an urban neighborhood blah blah. It was
a bright blue Subaru WRX aptly named "Papa
smurf". Rest in peace papa smurf.

where abouts in San Jose? Cause San Jose is ****ing huge. I am off saratoga ave around 280 and its ok in my little nich. That really sucks though, hopefully insurance can cover it or total it and write them a fat check.
This is one reason why I want a gun, cause if I caught someone doing this, i'd shoot them in the ***.

doesnt matter where you live thieves go to the nice neighborhoods when they want to steal now days cus they get way better cars - stereos etc..
factory alarms wont stop a theif and most aftermarket alarms just false alarm all the time.
but if your car is outside i dont care where it is you better get some damn good protection for it. dont just let the local stereo place install your alarm either cus your installer now has your address and knows where your alarm box is and guess what he can get in there in seconds. most alarm installers dont use hood protection pins and the sensativity is too sensative which means they set it off a few times in the middle of the night you get pissed off cus you cant get sleep and shut off the alarm and then they steal it... the problem with stopping thieves is that you cant just shoot them cus then you get sued by the thieves family, plus the jail time for manslaughter..

Story time:
The evening of July 4th, my brother left his car in from of my house in Sunnyvale. I awoke at 4:30 am to the sound of a car door and rustling. I put some clothes on and rush out the door to find a someone jumping out of his jetta with a backpack. I yell "drop it you MF", but he dashes into a waiting car running and parked next to the jetta. Someone else is driving, the pass. door was open, and they hauled *** down the street. I run into the street, get the plate etc. Then I call the police. Car has his nice stereo ripped out, but I guess I prevented them from getting the amps/speakers.
I didn't call the cops before going outside, as I thought it may be a dog/cat. A dog/cat fight is usually the case when I hear stuff in the middle of the night. I'm no brucelee (I have yet to meet you, but you sound menacing, especially with guns and all), and in retrospect I felt pretty dumb rushing out there like I did.
The plate matches the description (I would be glad to post it for your entertainment), but the car belongs to a woman, not a man, which is what I saw, a 5'9" latino with a scrawly mustache and buffy looking eyes (maybe he was as scared as me?). Police give me a lineup (pictures only) I can't see him, so the police say "oh well".
No, my brother's insurance did not cover the loss. Oh well I say.
Sorry for the loss of Papa's rex.

Be careful in downtown SJ... my car got broken into in the 4th and San Fernando garage, and a bunch of my stuff stolen (camera, tools, sunglasses, change in ashtray, etc).
