Car Wash

Just wondering where you guys wash your cars? How you do it or where you take it.

I use to do it myself, but now it's all cold and stuff and I just moved to an apartment which doesn't have a designated car wash area I have to find other means.

I can't go into those automatic car washes since my car is too low to clear the rails.

I always use the $1 coin operated pressure washers and my own car sponge and shamee. I dont wash it in the winter, I probably havent washed it in about 2-3 months but usually its twice a month in good weather.

I usually wash mine at home, but if I'm lazy, then I'll take it to a good hand car wash place.

I take my bucket and wash mitt to the coin operated places on weekdays, or if I'm super lazy, a touchless carwash with gas purchase (doesn't really clean that well, but better than nothing)

Know of any location that does purely hand wash? I mean.. some of the places say hand wash but they drive it thru the machine w/ the rails still. Know of some locations that does the Coin operated power washs? The one near my place charges 2 bux for 2 mins.. whihc is a rip off.

I don't live by you and I may be wrong about this but in Jersey to get a real hand wash you kinda have to go the full detailing... about $150, give or take. In the winter I take mine to this place by my house that first vacuum's and sprays the car off, then it goes through the machine thing, then a bunch of little mexican guys hand dry it and clean the windows and dash and stuff. Costs about $17 and I usually through $3 in the tip thing.

I just washed my car this morning. About froze my **** off in the process but it needed it. Even then, it still wasn't perfectly clean but greatly improved. I don't think I could trust my car to anyone else to wash unless i was spening $150+ for a full detail, and I don't have that sorta money to throw around every day. I am yet to find a soap I really like either, any suggestions anyone?

I usually have Freddie do the detailing. He does a pretty damn good job.
